BOOKS — Personal memoir, biography, military history, business or organization history
Books are typically 6x9 inches with a full-color, softbound cover. Interior pages are printed on white or cream paper with black ink. Full-color interior pages are also available for larger-sized books, such as “Bucky’s.” Life Sentences Publishing partners with the client, serving as writer-editor-designer or any combination, offering as much assistance as the client wants, in creating the book’s content. Some clients wish to drive the entire project, while others choose a backseat and rely on my writing and design expertise. Books are published in any quantity — one, one thousand, or even more — and parallel the same high quality of the books found at major bookstores. Examples here include a personal memoir, a military service memoir, a biography, and a business history, but format options are unlimited. An attractive 8-1/2x11-inch, bound and formatted interview transcript is a popular alternative to a book. Before the interview takes place, I sit down with the interviewee and/or the interviewee’s family member, and together we plan the direction of the interview and the questions to be covered.
The interview session is conducted and voice-recorded at the location of the client’s choice, usually in the comfort of their home. Interviews are conducted with the highest regard for the client, as sessions are typically an emotional experience for the client, bringing back memories that are both joyful and sad. Following the interview, I provide the client with the voice recording and the typed transcript to review and correct. Once the transcript is approved, it is attractively formatted as an 8-1/2x11-inch document with up to ten photographs and a card-weight paper cover. |

Lights! Camera! Action! ... Another popular choice for documenting a life, an event, a vacation, etc. is a custom video.
Fun, fast-paced, and endlessly entertaining, your “movie” is compiled from a collection of photos — any number, black & white and color. The client may choose one of several themes as a setting to enhance their project. The finished video mirrors any professionally produced documentary seen on TV, featuring photos enhanced by the Ken Burns effect, exciting transitions, captions, music, sound effects, and voiceovers recorded by the client. |
